Demand for property is running at an all-time high
It’s been clear that since the beginning of March demand for property is running at an all-time high. The Government released a number of changes that have dramatically help to change people’s motivations within the property market. Firstly by extending the stamp duty relief, introducing a 95% mortgage scheme and finally, easing the lockdown once more, now is certainly a seller’s market with potential buyers outnumbering properties coming to the market.
We can confirm this to be the case by looking at some recent sales, all of which sold quickly and above the asking price:
Additionally, Rightmove, the largest property portal reached new records in March with over 9.1 million visits in just one day, equating to 6,000+ visits every minute.
So, if you are yet to market your own home and are thinking about doing so, get the ball rolling now! Check out our free online valuation tool if you’re not quite ready, alternatively arrange for one of our team to visit you in person to provide a more accurate no-obligation appraisal.
Don’t be one of those buyers with the mindset “Our home will sell quickly so we wish to find a home first.” In most cases, that simply won’t work as Estate Agents nowadays are requiring that you are in a proceedable position. Plus, as we are now in a seller’s market, there is a good chance you will lose out even if you manage to put an offer in so start taking those steps sooner rather than later to put yourself in the best buying position possible.
