Here at Edison Ford we are always keeping a close watch on the ebb and flow of property prices to ensure our valuations are representative of the market.
This time last year three bedroom terraced properties, off Shire Way, were selling for in the region of £136,000. Fast forward just one year to December 2013 and those same properties are being marketed and sold at a £148,000 to £158,000 dependant on condition and position (10-15% increase on just a year ago).
In our opinion this trend in property prices will continue throughout 2014, fuelled by a buoyant rental market encouraging Landlords to buy up properties in the lower end of the market, Help to Buy schemes becoming more widespread helping first time buyers along with increased confidence in the economy and the housing market in general. However, whether we get the same level of growth in the coming year is yet to be seen.
